A good day for the club result wise.
Bunclody started the game very slow and it was that start that seen them fall behind after 15 minutes. The boys never let there heads drop and rovers fighting among themselves and with the referee seen a lapse in consentration say Bunclody Get in behind and Paul Nolan was brought down by the Rovers keeper. Paul duly slotted away the resulting penalty. Bunclody were Back in it and really now starting to dominat with some hot and heavy tackles going in from both ends. Half time came and it allowed the lads to settle the heads.
Onto The second half Bunclody came out of the blocks and a few good passages of play seen the lads break through and make it 2-1. 10 minutes later seen a long Bunclody kick out knocked on by Paul Nolan seen the ball been slotted home into the rovers net 3-1 and the lads were motoring. A few minutes later seen what seemed to be a good tackle deemed not so by the referee and Bunclody harshly down to 10’men. a quick reshape and a tactical change Allowed the lads to stay in the game and they really didn’t want to loose the lead a long Shanrocks ball seen it knocked on and a moment Of sleepiness seen the rovers get there second goal 3-2 game on. To be fair Rovers probably had more of the ball in the final minutes but they couldn’t find a way through to the Bunclody goal. The game finished 3-2 which rounded off a good Bunclody win.
Well done to Damien Duke, Matthew Skelly and Sam Black who all made their senior debut for the club.
